During a detox program, the systemic changes that take place may elicit a change of symptoms in some patients. A practitioner’s duty of care requires that patients be made aware of any potential adverse effects of treatment. The following list of symptoms may be experienced: fatigue; loose stools; flatulence; poor concentration and skin eruptions (rash, pimples).
While these symptoms are generally regarded as minor, should they persist for more than 5-7 days, treatment may need to be modified. This will depend on the severity of the symptoms, the sensitivity of the patient and their vital force.
Options for modification include:
Omit the Lymphomyosot component until symptoms subside, and then reintroduce it at half the dose for a few days prior to resumption of full dose.
Instead of constantly stimulating the body throughout the day, administer the dose in a glass of water tds. Ensure the water intake remains high.
For stronger reactions, discontinue the entire detox kit for 24 hours and resume on half a dose twice daily once the symptoms subside. The speed at which the detox is resumed will depend on the individual patient. Again, ensure that water intake remains high.
